Everyone knows the story of Hiccup and how he trained a dragon. Ever know how the dragon trained him? Ever wonder the Night furies past? Well, that's my story. I never used to be called Toothless. The name was Phoenix, named after a star cluster. Born into a world where it was Viking against dragon. Well, me and my best friend changed all that. Before any of that happened though, I have another story. What if Hiccup and Valka both had the souls of dragons? What if Hiccup had exactly the same eye color as Toothless and they could turn into slits when angry, irritated or frustrated? What if hiccup could change into a night fury and toothless was not short down? What if the Toothless and Hiccup met in a different way? Find out in my story! This story is not exactly following the movies, but I am trying to make it do that as much as possible. I was thinking about Valka could leave with Hiccup, but it wouldn't be the same so Hiccup and Valka will meet, but they will meet when Hiccup is 15 and not 20. It does have some spoilers because, in this story, Hiccup and toothless are friends ever since they were both 11 months old(they were also born/hatched on the same day). Give it a chance and it will maybe turn out to be great. It's my first how to train your dragon story/fanfic so don't expect me to do great.

It's been a month since Dragons and Vikings were brought together, now the only thing left to do is train them. Its close to winter in Berk, putting everyone on edge for food. Hiccup, the chiefs son, also the one that brought dragons and Vikings together isn't worried about the snow at all. He's usually the one to take advantage of the snowy weather, going dragon sledding with Astrid and the gang. But when Hiccup, mysteriously falls ill with an unknown sickness, Stoik's worries for his survival in the cold grow. In hopes to cure his only son Stoik sets out to sea to find the right medicine leaving Hiccup in the constant care of Gobber and Astrid. When tragic strikes, and Hiccup is now left on his own, his chances of surviving become small.

He was Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the third. During his time as a beat up, fifteen year old Viking, Hiccup started to change. Physically and mentally. He was getting powerful, violent urges, and his veins turned black, and started to show. In the arena, when he was supposed to kill the Monstrous Nightmare, something within Hiccup snapped. Something fell from the light...and something rose from the darkness... Filled with this new power, and rage, Hiccup mounted Toothless, letting out the wrath of a Night Fury and his rider. Leaving the Vikings wounded, he flew off, away from Berk, and away from everything he had ever known. Five years on, everyone thinks he's dead. Until Berk meets the Rouge Angel... I'm sorry but this one is on hold just like my sotw. This is also my first ff so I had no idea what I was doing... I will eventually redo this so its sounds WAY better and have longer chapters. The life of Toothless before, during and after the first movie.

Hiccup is struggling to take his father's place as chief of Berk. The village is weak and vurnerable. This means that it can be easily fortified by some unwanted and almost forgotten foes. When Alvin captures Hiccup and tells him to make him a flying suit, Hiccup refuses. But how long can he stay defient in the harsh conditions that Al in forces him through. They are tests of strength and will. He has to depend on himself for strength that his people will rescue him.
