Aileas Mac an Baird has one short memory of Saira Patil a short, Pakistani girl who briefly stayed in Scotland when she was six years old, on a break from being a missionary child. But what has happened to her and where is she now? Georgie Nevin and Aileas are best friends both non-Christian and both loving lemon shortbread - Aileas having stopped going to church and having a sweet tooth, Georgie never being introduced to Christianity and having a mother who always bakes one thing, LEMON SHORTBREAD! They live in the village of Ryne-Braeinvernn and go to school in the nearby town of Cumnlinnaird in the Highlands. Persis Dunbar is autistic, mute and ignored, and lives in an orphanage in Cairnranroch in the Lowlands of Scotland, she dreams of living in the Highlands. So how come these three girls all come together in Christ Jesus to solve a mystery Aileas puzzles over?
