I've always thought that mutants were just stories. Mythological even. My mother would tell me stories of the famed "X-men" when i was young. Tales of shapeshifters, telepaths, angels, and beasts fighting to save our world from evil. I've always been fascinated by these stories, I even dressed as some of them for Halloween. But as I got older, people would make fun of me, calling me "Mutie-Trash" and other unspeakable names. When I reached my 15th birthday however, i began to question my belief in these heroes.
