Michael O'Kane just received a letter that could very well change his life in so many ways. The only thing he can do to get back the place he used to call home is to fight for not only his life, but others lives as well, and to tactfully make a plan to save himself if he can. Excerpt: Once he got inside the house he stumbled into the bathroom blindly, his eyes covered by streams of blood dripping down his face and onto the floor. After sitting down on the toilet seat, Michael decided to attempt pulling out the shards of plastic and to staunch the blood. Michael started pulling the smallest pieces out of his forehead with tweezers and then covering them with the various sizes of bandages he had in his medicine cabinet. When he attempted to pull out the larger shards of glass though it only made it bleed more and pulled the skin around the wound up causing immense pain. After screaming in frustration at his failed attempts to not only get the plastic out but to stop the bleeding he walked into the kitchen and went to the wall phone to call his sister Andrea to tell her the news and to ask for her to come help him with the plastic in his head.
