He didn't know about it until his sixteenth birthday and they immediately want him to become acquainted with this so called king. Obviously this isn't something he wants to do, much less marry him. But as we should all know, things don't always go as planned.

Nico Di Angelo is in pain, he's been broken down one too many times. After losing his mother, and now his sister, his life seems insignificant to himself. As he attempts suicide, he is stopped by a tree nymph who tells him that there was a prophecy, and that he was in it. On his quest along with two others, he finds things that he never would have realises, as well as a little surprise. Characters belong to Mr Rick Riordan. Storyline belongs to meeeeeeee. Ok just remember this doesn't actually happen in the book and happens BEFORE HoO.

Hades hurts Nico for maybe the billionth time but this time Nico isn't standing for it. He runs away and starts a new life, until Hazel eventually finds him and drags him back kicking and screaming. Until a suprising twist sets Nico's life on a whole new path. And F.Y.I, he doesn't go by Nico anymore, he goes by Shadow: Commander of Tartarus.

Hades refuses to give Nico freedom to be a kid. Which results in them getting into a fight which ends badly for poor Nico. Soon the demigod realizes that he isn't himself...well he's himself to an extent. Read to find out what happens on little Nicos adventure.
