Coral is the child of a demon, her demonic Father captured her mortal Mother's heart and then crushed it, her mother unable to cope took her life. By a twist of fate Coral was saved and adopted by a white witch who lived in the outskirts of the city, she tries to be normal and deny her demon urges and was doing pretty well until Hunters show up at school. Coral knows they will be after her especially demon hating Caden Lowe, but it turns out that Coral has to help the Hunters with a demon invasion on the city and gives her the chance to get revenge for her mothers death. To do so Coral will have to give into her demon instincts and become the one thing she tries so hard not be.

Starting in Diapaque, an alternate dimension where you cannot speak before The Voicing, Caraline is determined to travel to the Other World. In order to get there, she must pass The Voicing but there is one problem: only 3 can win. Talking before The Voicing is a crime that could land you in 30 years of prison, but Caraline plays to win. So every night, when people are supposed to sleep, she opens her mouth and speaks. It is a reckless decision. But Caraline has set her mind on winning. She's stupid. She's determined. She's brave. Dr.Harleen Quinzel is a respected doctor at Arkham Asylum, well known for her intelligence and kind personality but much like everybody else in Gotham she has her secrets. When given the opportunity to 'fix' the joker she cannot help but intervene....however with her already on the brink of madness could this push her over the edge?
