A soul/rock band, known as Dragon Slayers, hosts a contest in which fans send in videos of themselves singing original Dragon Slayers songs. The winner gets to hang out with the band for an entire day. The band's lead singer, Gajeel Redfox, finds this whole contest a huge annoyance, that is, until he watches -her- video.

Gajeel is a delinquent. Always causing trouble. Levy is a bookworm. She pays attention in class and always gets good grades. They're complete opposites. One day, they're partnered up for one of their classes. They must get to know eachother and write down each observation down on a small notebook and hand it in right after the holidays. Along the way, a romance brews. The delinquent starts to fall for the bookworm.
