"Did you love her?" Her question was blatant.
"You can't ask that." I shook my head, she cocked her head to the side. "You don't just stop loving someone. You either always will, or you never did in the first place. The question you should've asked is: Do you love her?" I guided.
Her face showed more questions than she could say. She wanted to ask more, but was too afraid of hitting a nerve. She opened her mouth but shut it like a fish gasping for air. I nodded, for her to proceed, instead of saying something to stop her from asking her questions.
"Do you love her?" She copied, I bit the inside of my cheek.
I admit, I was afraid to admit that I loved her. Or that I was afraid to admit that I didn't love her. Whichever one, I was too afraid to admit that I didn't know if I loved her or not. Answering that question was like trying to love the ocean but only being taught to swim in a small pool. I was never one to understand my own feelings. They make me run around a maze, than just drop me of where I started.
"I-I don't know." I shrugged, for once I didn't have an answer for a question. Usually, I was always the one that had an answer or something for everything.
Corey, scrunched her eyebrows in confusion. "But, you just said you either know if you love someone or you don't love them at all. Now, you are just contradicting your opinion."
I smiled. I nodded, because what she said now, might just have saved my life. I jumped of my seat and dashed out of the house.
"Hey! Come back! Where are you going?!" She screamed from behind me.
I looked behind, yelling, "To stop the one I love!" I smiled.
