These are truths I was never taught to speak. Here lie the words I swallowed, the pain I buried, and the questions they told me not to ask. For the unheard. For the unseen. For the ones who feel too much in a world that tells them to feel less. I write for you. I write for me.

"The Girl Who Outgrew Her Hurt" is my story in poems. I was the quiet girl with a soft heart, hard thoughts, and hidden pain. The one who smiled while healing, loved while breaking, and kept everything inside. This book is for the ones who feel too deeply, overthink at night, and keep going anyway. It's about heartbreak, friendships that faded, missing people who didn't stay, and finding myself in the mess. I wrote every poem from the truth I carry - soft, bold, and still becoming. This is me, outgrowing what tried to break me.

I have put a lot of effort into these poems. I hope you enjoy them and get positivity from them. ⚠️⚠️⚠️ DON'T COPY MY WORK⚠️⚠️⚠️ This is all my original work and has my efforts in it. Don't even think about stealing it. I will take this plagiarism of my work really seriously. Don't steal my original work if you don't want to be in serious trouble. I really mean it!!! Okay, Enjoy!!! ------------ One of the poems, 'The First Snowfall' is an honorable mention in the 'Xmas Advent Contest 2022' ------------ This is my first poem collection. So, the starting poems are not as good. I have decided to leave them there as it shows me how much I have grown and prospered in this field. So, if you just wanna read the good poems, I recommend you start from poem 19 or a bit more late. FREE VERSE POETRY!!! In this poetry book. I explain my struggles, my thoughts, and my emotions. A lot of these poems were written after or during something. I show and explain how I feel daily when I overthink. It's about all of the things I never let go of in life. I learned a lot from this, especially that you can't outrun these problems. You can't let go of them either, because they mean too much to let go. This poetry book was more of a journal than a book itself, because usually when I was sad or something, I would write about it. In this poetry book, you will see a lot about love, because my whole life is built around that. I thank you for those who cheered me on throughout the making of this. I thank the people who cared enough to help me through these parts of my life. SECTION 1: ~a million words~ timespan: september - mid-december SECTION 2: ~the letters i never addressed~ timespan: december - january SECTION 3: ~a few more words... please.~ timespan: beginning of january - end of april In the early stages of this book. I cried a lot because I was scared to even write these poems. Knowing it will be the truth, and for once, people will know me for me. Because these problems aren't just mine. They are yours too, because it is so sad that a lot of teenagers go through a lot of the same things. To those who read this, thank you for taking your time to understand me. It means a lot, tons. Sometimes I think that others shouldn't worry about my issues or problems when they have their own to worry about. This happened a lot, and some of these poems were written with my tears. I thank YOU, for making me remember that people are here for me, no matter who they are. Along with that- Enjoy! I hope that you like this, as much as I did write it. It's my everyday thoughts, my emotions, my tears, and what I never would say to anyone a year ago. And I never let go of these things, because I just learned to live with them. Morgan Hayes

***COMPLETED*** He was never mine. That was the problem. This isn't a love story, at least not yet. It's a collection of diary entries written in the middle of it all. Late night thoughts, half finished feelings, and moments that meant everything but were never named. Somewhere between confessions, lingering touches, and conversations that went on too long to be "just friends," I started writing things I could never say out loud. Everyone else could see what it looked like. But nothing was ever official enough to hold onto, and nothing ever lasted long enough to break cleanly either. So I wrote instead. Because loving someone who acts like they might choose you, until they don't, is one thing. Pretending it doesn't stay with you is another.
