He bent forward, lowering his voice into a grumbly murmur. "I happen to have a lovely tower with a splendid view of the harbor."
"You are inviting me to your home?" I recoiled in surprise, sniffing as my tears dried.
He cleared his throat awkwardly, looking away. "Ah, is that perhaps a bit too forward?"
I shook my head, holding up my hands. "It is just that you do not know me very well."
