Alexandra, an aspiring journalist, finally gets hired by the city's newspaper when her longtime best friend, Tate is promoted. It's a blessing and a curse all at once. She's been having twisted, uncontrollable fantasies about Tate, which were already hard enough to tame with them just being friends. But now that he is her boss, it would be much harder to keep those feelings under wraps. Especially when he appears to want her just as bad. After their feelings are exposed to one another, things get rough in their personal lives and the workplace.
