It's been 2 years since the Reichenbach fall, and John is a mess. Recent events have motivated Sherlock to reunite with his doctor, but things don't go as he planned when he finds John's dark secrets. Will John be able to forgive Sherlock from hiding from him for all these years? There is also a new consulting detective in town, one that rivals Sherlock in every way, including for John's affections. Then when John is kidnapped Sherlock has got to unravel the case, for his reputation and John's life is at stake. He has to forget what Mycroft said about caring, and needs to realize that being alone won't stop him from burning, just like Moriarty promised I don't own the characters from the bbc show Sherlock But I do own my other consulting detective.

In this AU of Sherlock, John is a merman who is trapped in a lake nearby the university where Sherlock attends. One day they meet and both their lives are changed forever.

He is lavish. Masterful. Intellectual, inexplicable, overt. Sexual. Sherlock Holmes defines extravagance. He isn't exactly the best thing for John's tireless, bland stability. John works the nine to five and tries not to lose sleep over the small things - like the labor of his fiancée's expectations, and the sirens that fill his head with noise after curfew. He finds comfort in art, and drinking. Besides the war making its presence known, slowly creeping its black tendrils into the heart of Bristol - John's life is quiet. Given that, he's not surprised when he is dragged into Sherlock Holmes's orbit. There is no manual to help him navigate the moment their eyes first meet; he presents himself as the perfect distraction, a beautiful incendiary miracle. John thinks that maybe he was hoping for this, because: Sherlock is potent, and inflammatory, and perfectly willing to make John's life hell for his own self-indulgent pleasure. With one touch, John's sense of self is corrupted. And what does it matter if the world implodes? It was never kind to them to begin with.

Meet Sherlock Holmes- a 15 year old sociopath; arrogant, tactless, rejected, but enjoys a life of solitude and deducing. Meet John Watson- a 15 year old footballer; quiet, popular, caring, but endures a life of isolation and oppression. A transfer from a state school, John pushes open the door of Room 22 to find the most crucial part of his life he never knew existed; a teenage boy with the mind of a philosopher, who just so happens to be able to precisely analyse every detail of John's life, whilst being able to piss everyone else off at the exact same time.

This fanfic is based off a Fanvid I saw on YouTube. I give the owner full credit for the idea, I just wanted to write it out as a fic. Although, I put my own twists on this story and it's original video plot. The main scenario and the way things play out are almost the same as in the video. But I decided to put Lestrade, a little bit of Anderson, Donovan, and Mrs. Hudson in this as well. Mycroft and Mary are also in this. And some other characters from the show are mentioned in this. I didn't want to leave too many people out! John Watson is a high school teacher. Sherlock Holmes is one of his students. Somehow, John falls for the kid. But John is married, so his little (illegal) affair ends, badly. Three years later, John moves to London and is offered a place to stay after his nasty divorce, but, he'll be rooming with none other than his old student. Warning: Smut and Angst xx
