Tobio Kageyama is a first-year student at Karasuno High School. He's an average student with good grades. The only thing he lacks is friends. This is due to his extremely ego-centric personality and lack of care for others. He's talked to people before, but he would just end up getting frustrated with their stupidity or inability to keep up with him. Kageyama has been told several times by his mother to try and make friends, but he constantly claims they aren't necessary for someone like him. Having no friends gives him constant time alone, which he enjoys primarily by spending time at the nearby coffee shop, The Raven's Nest. He's been spending his time here since middle school and has become recognized as the Nest's most frequent customer. All of their staff knows Kageyama. If anything, you could sort of consider the staff friend's of Kageyama's. To Kageyama, there isn't anything too significant about this coffee shop or the staff; That is until the Nest hires a new barista. Shouyou Hinata is the Nest's newest recruit. He's known for his height of only 5'4" and bright orange hair. Kageyama recognized him as one of the most outgoing of their team, alongside two others. His bright, happy personality would always add more light to the atmosphere. Hinata tried his best to befriend Kageyama, especially considering he had a crush on him within the first few seconds of meeting him. Kageyama easily gets annoyed by the orange-haired boy but he tries his best not to snap. Kageyama wonders why he's able to stand this boy; he's loud, annoying and way too extroverted. He begins to wonder this yet at the same time he tries his best to avoid this kid. Even worse, it turns out that this 'dumbass' is in Kageyama's school as well as half of his classes. Kageyama find himself being too protective of Hinata and he doesn't know why. While he doesn't realize his true, hidden feelings, his enemies tried to snatch away his cute little crow from him. Most teenage boys would thank the heavens in this predicament, but for Kageyama, being locked in a cramped storeroom cupboard overnight only makes him question his faith. Hinata, completely oblivious to Kageyama's inner turmoil, discovers a whole new side to the intimidating setter. Fluff blossoms, we all go home happy!

The final match. The 3rd set. If the team won this game, Karasuno's would be the number one high school volleyball team in all of Japan. No longer deemed the 'Flightless Crows'. The score was set at 23:24, in favour of the opposing team. It was match point for them, but Karasuno could definitely make it if they tried. But it didn't go exactly as they'd hoped.
