Prisoner. That's all I'd been referred to as for the past seven years - I've almost forgotten my name. But I'm not a prisoner anymore. I've been given a second chance. A chance to start anew. On Earth. For three generations, the Ark has kept what's left of the human race alive, but now our home is dying, and we are the last hope of mankind. A hundred prisoners sent on a desperate mission to the ground. Each of us is here because we broke the law. On the ground, there is no law. All we have to do is survive, but we will be tested by the Earth, by the secrets it hides, and most of all by each other.

"97 years ago, nuclear fire destroyed the Earth..." That's what they told us. That humanity died down there, and we were the lucky ones floating above the ruins, surviving in silence, in sacrifice. They don't mention what it takes to survive up here. What it costs. I was never supposed to be on the dropship. I was training to be a medic, trying to keep my head down after watching my parents get floated. But the Sky doesn't spare people like me people who step out of line to protect the ones they love. So I took the fall. And now I'm falling again this time, to Earth. My siblings fell with me. Ivelle too smart for her own good, and too stubborn to stop fighting. Jasper still trying to be the light for everyone else, even when he's breaking inside. I've protected them all my life. But down here, on a world we were never meant to return to, I'm not sure protection is enough. Then there's him. Bellamy Blake. All sharp edges and reckless choices, hiding grief behind a gun and a plan. We're not allies Hell, I don't even like him But something in both of us is broken the same way and maybe that's why we keep circling, clashing, coming back. The ground is unforgiving The people here are warriors. And survival means more than staying alive it means choosing who you are when everything is burning. They sent us here to die. But we brought our ghosts with us.

Everyone sees her first. Elena the golden girl, the one people remember. The sister who fits into this world like she was made for it. I'm just the quiet one. The twin in the background. The second choice. Or so I thought. Lately, something's changing. I get these dreams flashes of fire, shadows moving where they shouldn't, whispers I can't un-hear. The air bends around certain people. I know things I shouldn't. And when Stefan Salvatore walks into my life, something inside me stirs... but it's Damon who ignites it. He looks at me like he knows what I am. Before I even do. I'm not just a Gilbert. I'm not just her sister. I'm not normal. And whatever is waking up inside me? It's old. It's dangerous. And it's been waiting. They say we're all born with a curse. But I think I was born with two.

Willow didn't come to the wilderness to die. She came to find peace. But the deeper she hiked, the more the trees seemed to shift, swallowing the trail until she was nothing but a lost soul in a green labyrinth. Then she found the hunters. Men who weren't looking for deer, but for something-someone-vulnerable. Willow thought her story ended in the dirt under their boots. Until the King arrived. Almost nine feet of bronze, bone, and ancient fury, he didn't just save her; he decimated the darkness. He is a nightmare from the stars, a silent executioner who never asked for a shadow. In the suffocating silence of the forest, he is the only thing that feels real to her. He can rattle his blades and roar until the leaves shake, but as long as his heavy footfalls lead the way, Willow is safe from the monsters of her own kind. He wants her to run. He wants her to fear him. But she has already seen the worst the world has to offer, and she is staying right behind him. Book One: The King's Shadow Book Two: The King's Claim

Jake is witty when comfortable, but he tends to keep to himself unless he really trusts someone. He's incredibly affectionate deep down and craves comfort and gentle structure-things he only lets himself indulge in when he's alone or with his mom. His classification as a little is a closely guarded secret, something he fears will ruin his life if it gets out, especially around his teammates. Background: Lives with his loving and supportive single mom, who has always made space for Jake to be himself. She knows about his little side and helps him navigate it quietly, giving him the space to regress when he needs to and always validating that it's okay. Background: Raised by two dads, both caregivers themselves, Cameron has always been taught that strength comes from knowing how to be gentle. He's fiercely loyal and pays attention to what others try to hide. Cameron plays defensive end on the football team and has a quiet but commanding kind of popularit
