Ellington Ratliff knew something was up when he was 14. Coughing, hacking, wheezing. It didn't make sense until his whole life was turned upside down by this stupid thing called cystic fibrosis. Sure, he had always been the social outcast. But with that stupid oxygen machine he had to drag around with him, he sure was getting more attention then he liked. From people that weren't necessarily... kind. He had learned to deal with it for 3 years. Then, he met her. ~ Rydel Lynch was what you considered 'popular.' Lots of friends. Lots of fame. The drummer and backup singer in the band R5, along with his three best friends and their sister. The guy who's dating Kelly Voosen. Ever heard of Rydellington? Well, that's Ellington and Rydel's ship name. Everybody thinks they are just perfect for eachother. Except them. In front of the cameras, Ellington and Rydel act like besties. But behind the cameras, it's a totally different story. Rydel and Ellington absolutely HATE eachother. From the start, it has been pure hatred. When her brothers are around, Ellington just ignores her. But when they're alone, he is terrible towards her. But because of this, her brothers don't believe her when she tells them that Ellington hates her. But then, Rydel finds out why Ellington has so pure of hatred towards her. When Rydel starts to feel.... Feelings. She goes through some throwbacks of her times with Ratliff. While on the other hand, Ratliff is going through a hard time with his relationship with Kelly.

Rydel Lynch has a great life but she's just not happy at all. She may look like it but hey people can act happy. Ellington is the only one that sees she depressed, he try's to help but with all the ups and downs in their relationship will he be able to help or is it just too much?
