*FEATURED WATTPAD PICKS* If Alice Black had to describe Isaac Hanes using only nouns they would be beer, spaghetti, and pharmaceuticals. If she had to describe him using any other words she would choose: arrogant, bully, home wrecker, unqualified, neurotic, caring, funny, and most importantly, her friend. Alice's life was going no where until her high school bully, Isaac Hanes, sauntered back into her life. She hated everything he stood for. He was nothing but a one-dimensional pompous CEO who was blessed with a perfect life despite being the human form of evil, himself. As friendships grow, tensions grow. Things never work out smoothly. *1st Place Winner in Romance for the Literally Lit Awards ❤️*

Instead of planning her wedding, Ana is preparing for war. ***** Captain Alestair "Cade" Kincade has renounced piracy, but he can't yet forgo being a soldier. Despite the risks and against his beloved's wishes, Cade joins the British fleet at the Battle of the Chesapeake and disappears in the melee. Left on the wrong side of victory without a ship or crew, Ana journeys into hostile territory determined to find him. Fearing he's become a prisoner of war in the American Revolution, she uses her few remaining allies to attempt a rescue. Even if she's successful, there's no guarantee he'll be the same man she once knew. She certainly won't ever be the same girl who just a few weeks earlier set sail for the New World. No matter how much Ana wants to deny it, she will have to become the Pirate Queen or die trying. [Word count 60,000 - 70,000 words] This is a work of fiction. **CURRENTLY A FEATURED STORY** highest ranking: #11 in Science fiction ❝true happiness is only achieved without freedom. There is a girl who wakes to a world that she was supposed to protect. Instead, she fights it. There is a man who is cursed with the ability to dream. A glass city is their cage, a city filled to the brim with unanimity and order, a paradise on an earth laid to waste by an artificial snowstorm. Sunlight filters through the glass buildings and through glass walls, pierces glass floors. It illuminates the city square when it is strongest at noon, surrounded by a huddled mass of citizens, all as perfect as the city they inhabit. And they all think: everything is as it should be. And it is. Or, it was. -- long live perfection.❞ (c)sarahgaier2016 #diverselit | #LoveEqualsLove | #helpfightcliches | #freethelgbtq | #badassreads check out my Science Fiction novella, Sector-33, here! https://www.wattpad.com/story/62174094-sector-33

**Previously Featured in Wattpad Picks, Undiscovered for now.** Earth. Two hundred years after the fall of civilization, the remains of mankind have divided into two groups: those that wish to carry on some sense of civilization live inside one of the great Walled Cities, while others prefer to live outside these cities in the vast wilds. Compared to these wilds, the Walled Cities is a sanctuary for polite society. Seventeen year old Z is one of these outsiders. Due to his heritage and choice to live outside the Walled Cities, he is seen as untrustworthy by many. All he wants is to help his sister in law, his brother and their two children, survive and run the small farm they live on. To do this he hunts and traps the wild animals that roam the wilderness, and sells their skins to the merchants of the Walled Cities. They are the only ones who have the money and supplies his family needs to survive each year. Without them or the cities and ports, his life would come to a grinding halt. Z has always tried to respect the laws and customs of the Walled Cities, but an encounter with a guard goes horribly wrong. Fleeing from the city and one of the few men who trusted him, Z encounters a stranger under unique circumstances. He and the stranger will have to work together as Z knows the stranger will not survive alone, and he will have need of their talents soon. Between them, they will undertake some of the hardest trials the world has to throw at them. Lives will be lost, cities will crumble, and Z will have to make the hardest decision of his life. #754 in Science Fiction 10/17/17 #571 in Science Fiction 10/19/17 #434 in Science Fiction 11/13/17 #347 in Science Fiction 11/19/17 #203 in Science Fiction 1/24/18 #158 in Science Fiction 1/26/18 #142 in Science Fiction 2/6/18 #123 in Science Fiction 2/9/18 #59 in Science Fiction 2/22/18 #50 in Science Fiction 5/7/20 First published in October 2017 Images used are not mine, Copyrights belong to respective artists.

An orphan with a dubious pedigree strives to secure her future through marriage, but as she stumbles through the dance of courtship, she begins to question who she truly is -- and who she wants to be. ***** Edith Shepley looks like a Wyrm. She takes after her father, whoever he was, but that doesn't change things. She is a proper Folk lady nonetheless, trained from the cradle to govern as Baroness of Ewert someday. And she knows her duty. Now a woman at sixteen years old, Edith must marry and beget Ewert's next heir. She obediently considers suitor after suitor, some sweet, some baffling, some detestable. But the more she sees of her mother's society, the more Edith questions whether she really is a Folk lady, after all. And the more she's stung by its insults, its injuries and injustices, the more she doubts she really wants to be. Book One of The Unfinished Wyrm! Wattys 2017 "The Storysmiths" winner!
