{#1 in teenagers} {#2 in fiction} {#2 in popular} "You better not tell anyone about this." "Aw why not? I'm sure your fandom of desperate girls would love to know that their precious prince charming needs a babysitter." I smile innocently back at his death glare. "I'm serious, nerd. I could make your life hell." ------------------------------------------------------------ Marnie Jones is an ordinary 11th grader. Her only intentions are to get good grades and save money for college with her babysitting job. Everything is going to plan. Until she gets a job babysitting the high school bad boy, Zeke Blakely. The two come from complete different social groups, and Marnie automatically hates Zeke and his big ego and cocky attitude. He's a player. He's dangerous. He's reckless. She's safe with an overthinking problem. As the two are seen hanging around school together, attention gets drawn to Marnie. Which she hates. But she also catches the eye of a handsome jock, too. And why, you ask, does a 17 year old boy need a babysitter? You'll have to read to find out. WARNING: contains vulgar language and mature scenes.

"I don't know why I do this to myself." Silence. A light, disdainful chuckle. "It's not like you're out there somewhere listening." Bellamy lets out a shaky sigh and clenches the fist that rests on the table by the transmitter to steady his breathing. *** Begins at the end of Season 4. Once on the Ring, Bellamy and his friends discover that Clarke survived the end of the world. They are able to hear her daily radio transmissions but are unable to respond. This is the story of Bellamy discovering his feelings without being able to express them to the one person who needs to know. *** "Clarke." It comes out as a broken whisper. "Clarke," he says, more forcefully. As if she could hear him. "Clarke." The scraping of his words inside his throat feels like sandpaper. He grabs the receiver and starts to shake it. "Keep talking, Clarke," he whispers desperately. In a trembling voice, he adds, "I'm listening."

Pacing back and forth in my tiny bathroom, I checked my iPod once again. It told me 2:30 AM. Only two more minutes until this tiny little stick sitting on my counter shows me the small little negative sign I was hoping for. Just then, a notification popped up on my screen, a message from my best friend, Blake. Blake: Hey Dawn! :D whatcha up to? Me: hi Blake Blake: You okay? Before I replied, I looked over to the counter, at the small stick, only to see the one thing I was really hoping I wouldn't. I feel like my heart just dropped down to my stomach. I feel like I'm going to throw up. I see my iPod light up, once again, another message from Blake.
