However, what started as a simple package delivery of meat on a doorstep quickly became a business worthy of the town's praise. Soon, "Mr. Porky" was born. People line around the corner to get their hands on his fresh produce, somehow always prepped, deliciously packed, and never spoiled. But the passing collective question begs each consumer that leaves satisfied, 'Where does it come from?' At first, it's an accident. Ryland could not express the pent-up emotions due to a mouth with no voice. The screams of his siblings, the insatiable pity that overwhelms his mother. Then, it's liberation. With each body comes a newfound piece of raw emotion, the same that denied him as a child. Primal killings -- meticulous clean-ups, missing people. Payne, the stories' protagonist, will not only experience great power, struggles that may beat him to a pulp, and horrors no one has ever dreamt of witnessing. But he will also watch his first love die in his arms in a terrible war. Not only within himself, but with the dangers that surround him and his entire bloodline.
