He is removed from his comfortable home in the Coven of the Rising Star when he goes through a Portal to "The Other". He finds himself in a place called "New York City", a frightening and dangerous place for someone like him. He is grateful to meet a sane person, Logan Booker. Logan's perfect life is obliterated when Virgil enters his life. He had never believed Thomas when he spoke about 'magic' or 'an alternate dimension' or 'witches' or any of that crap. But he has no choice but to believe it when Virgil drops into his life. They are so different, and yet they work so well together....

This is basically a story about sympathetic deceit so if you don't like that DONT read this.
