Even as a kid- I was told that I was beautiful. I had portraits of myself as a kid, smiling and waving at the painter and sometimes the sculpture and maybe my two older sisters who would sneer in my direction. If I had been normal, none of this would've happened.
None of it.

"Psyche," he reasoned with me, "Don't bring them into our home-" He pulled me closer on the amazing bed -that I didn't deserve- and kissed me lightly. "I don't want to ruin what we have. If you bring them, we could. . . we could be ruined." He grasped my hand tightly, his smooth yet strong hands, perhaps he was an archer.
I kissed his cheek reassuringly in the dark room, "They can handle it," I told him. "I can make sure that they won't do anything to change what we have." I chuckled, my forehead pressing against his, "Besides, how could they possibly ruin what we have?" He ran his hand through my hair and sighed, "I won't stop you".
