Even the most uneducated can have a mind for adventure - especially when it comes to saving the world. A man with a tie is discovered outside the limits of a dried-up settlement in the middle of nowhere, bearing a plague that was long thought to be contained behind the walls of Ban-Ken. When Master Drew Hughes discovers that the man intends to spread the disease beyond the great city, it is up to the private alcoholic and a loud-mouthed orphan, Alyn Smythy, to brave the city's walls and put a stop to the man-made plague before its power falls into the wrong hands. Book one of two. [BOUND FOR EXTENSIVE REWRITES IN NOVEMBER!] If you are triggered by suicide mentions, probably about three suggestions of it crop up total in this book. GRAPHICS AND ART DETAILS: Font in chapter banners: https://www.dafont.com/queen.font Fonts in cover image: https://www.dafont.com/queen.font and https://www.dafont.com/the-circus-show.font Art in both is by me; though some of the black silhouettes in the banner (skeleton, horse, wagon, two trash piles) are vectors from the net. Any art found will be by me unless otherwise specified (credit will be given at end of chapter). I don't ask for critique or constructive criticism on my art: I am NOT an artist and will never claim to be. I'm a self-taught hobbyist.

A few people have asked for some visuals to go with my Silver Blades characters, and I don't have many (that are finished)... but I do have sketches and different things I've drawn that accompany my creation process. Nothing in this book is meant to be "finished," but if you're a Rip & Pertuli fan, or curious about their world, it might be of interest. I have a LOT of art of the wider World of Terrok, in progress or left over from other projects, but that isn't the intent of this sketchbook. Also, check out my general sketchbook for more random images. Note: Before you ask, the characters on the current cover are NOT Rip and Pertuli... they are Pertuli and Silverleaf, from the Tete-a-Tete short story.

This book will house the information that some readers have requested about the World of Terrok, its peoples and environs. I will update it whenever I have some time to spare and I'm taking a break from the Silver Blade stories. I have begun many Terrok guidebooks over the years, and the scope of those projects has always gotten away from me. In this case I won't be attempting to create an all-encompassing wiki for Terrok. Instead I will just be updating sections to expand on references we've seen in the SB tales as I see fit and have time. If there is anything you would really like to see here, please comment and ask. Also, because I won't be posting information in any particular order, expect sections to be moving around as they need to be grouped with other, similar sections. (I will try to keep descriptions of countries, races, religions, etc. with other similar topics, and will likely add section cover pages for each for ease of use as I go.) Enjoy!

Separately, they are able to wreak havoc on weather patterns, manipulate the energy supply, and seize control over death itself! Together, their power increases geometrically, limited only by the user's vision! Lost for millennia, the tablets have re-surfaced. Wherever they are found, strange phenomena have followed. Today, they are aggressively sought by a homicidal maniac with a dark history of brutality, who seeks the restoration of the bloody Babylonian Empire, setting the world back 4500 years! With the power to re-shape the world and wipe out modern civilization, his fanatical goals are within his grasp. In order to stop him, renown adventurer and philanthropist Jeremiah Courage has assembled a team, each an expert in his or her own field. Together, they must race to seek out and secure the tablets, hidden in ancient and exotic location around the globe, before their adversary and his followers have a chance to use them to make his dreams of conquest a grim reality. Courage's team of adventurers must travel to the four corners of the Earth, in a desperate race against time and the men working to re-shape reality. While El-Fahd seeks to use the tablet for his own sinister purposes, Courage and his team have another challenge. Every moment that the tablets are separated, the world suffers terrifying environmental upheavals, the scope of which are unknown in recorded history.
