Tav is a drow wanting a new start after spending her entire life in the pits of the Underdark. Astarion is a vampire spawn seeking freedom after centuries of being a slave to his cruel master. Both of them need to get to Baldur's Gate - but between fighting monsters, dragging their companions along, and falling in love, reaching their destination might be harder than they realize.

A high elf bard with a mysterious background gets abducted and infected by a mindflayer vessel. He manages to escape the ship only to find himself on unfamiliar terrain and dealing with his condition with few answers. He quickly meets others that are infected and they form an unlikely troupe in the search for a cure.
