Nathan Winterwood is a teenage boy with an unmentioned past during the zombie apocalypse. He's been on his own most his life, and when he's fully alone in this world he continues to fend for himself. The unique thing about his group is that there are no adults to boss them around and create violence. He had always been the leader of the group ever since the beginning and since the group thinks adults are always leading them to trouble, they want to make sure they stay away from them. However, when Tyler and his group come into contact with another group of survivors, he sees a boy around his age named Carl. Tyler starts to wonder if Carl is actually happy with his own group or not. If he isn't, Tyler starts to consider the thought of maybe joining his group. Even if Carl's group has an adult for a leader.

Melody Grimes, the one person at camp that Daryl actually didn't hate. It was shocking, a Dixon showing a little bit of feeling towards someone. Although, he didn't show it much, he kept it bottled up just like a Dixon would. Melody felt empty, the only anchor she ever had was her brother, who was dead and gone. Hopefully she'll find her anchor where someone else was looking, maybe they could be each others anchors.
