One pawn wasn't enough for Maxwell. Oh no, he needed to have as many as he could. A collection, of sorts. He just had to throw yet another poor soul into his unforgiving world. Enter Westley Harper, a 28 year old toymaker whose only wish was to cure her brother's dystrophy. But every wish comes with a price in Maxwell's world. Then she comes across Wilson Percival Higgsbury, the Gentleman Scientist, and their hopes of escape begin to grow with each passing day.
