This is a short story about a girl dealing with Trichotillomania. Based on the song "A-OK" by Motion City Soundtrack.

A girl named Aubrey has a condition called trichotillomania. Aubrey is 14 and has been pulling for seven years. Half her life. When she transfers to another school, she's afraid what the other kids might say. "Weirdo"? "Gross"? "It's THAT girl"? She doesn't know. When Aubrey meets someone that will change her life forever, will she ever dare to tell them the truth? As she's walking around like a zombie more and more everyday, people begin to worry. What's wrong with this girl? Is she okay? ...What's her dirty little secret? What will Aubrey do when the other kids... Read to find out

This is essentially my Trich journal, I don't know if anyone else here has Trichotillomania, but it is an impulse control disorder which causes me to have an extreme urge to pull out my hair. This is aimed not only to help me, but to help others. I just don't want anybody to feel alone if you have this disorder.

This story is dedicated to the Trichotillomaniacs. We fight every day against our Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, whether it is created by sadness or anxiety. Please learn more about this disorder to help others. I am currently fighting my own stress-induced battle against Trichotillomania. I won't ever stop fighting--I haven't for 4 years and counting. -Sam
