Harper isn't like the other humans, and in a vampire dominant world, that's a bad thing. She lives with her family in the vamp's human compounds, exchanging their blood for safety from the zombies outside. She's always passed as normal - until something in her changes. Once a new vamp, Hector, targets her for his favorite new hobby, things start to get weird....and dangerous. Even though her safety is in jeopardy, she knows that to escape would be much more dangerous. Still, it may be her best bet at survival, because it's not safe inside for her anymore...
