This is the second book of the MiMiC series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but old characters will likely return. Being in another country was supposed to be an adventure. Even with such a severe handicap from a traumatic experience in his past, Roh-Ahn was ready to take on teaching in America, and maybe see some of its famous tourist sites, too. What he hadn't planned, however, was to meet a young history teacher who not only saves him when he has a bad reaction after overexerting himself, but who keeps appearing at just the right times to make his heart beat a little bit faster then it should.

The Winthrop triplets seem to have a pretty normal life. They're making money, living in a decent apartment, and at least one of them is moving on up in their career of choice. Everything seems normal. Then, each of them stumbles upon a crime of their own, and the only possible connection there is just the familial relationship between them. Or is it? Self-titled "holistic detective" Dirk Gently is on the case, and he believes that there's more connections than what meets the eye. Can he solve the interconnected cases before it's too late? This book is a work of fiction based off of the television production Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency (2016). The character of Dirk Gently belongs to Douglas Adams, and the adaptation of the character and any other characters that are not originally mine belong to Max Landis. (Featured Story September 2017) Allison is spending the summer on picturesque Peaks Island, Maine where she is the caretaker for her Aunt Meredith's exquisite beach house. While her intention is to hide-away in the small caretaker's cottage and write her first novel, she begins a relationship with a sweet ferry operator named Kevin. Kevin's rugged New England manner appeals to Allison just as a remote culture appeals to an anthropologist. Allison has grown to love the easy lifestyle and the natural beauty of the rocky coastal island. Things change when a handsome, confident New Englander named Greg Marshall inquires about renting the house. She finds herself completely flustered by his looks and smooth manner. Yet as her attraction for him grows, her life on Peak's Island begins to fall apart. First Allison almost drowns at their private beach. Then her personal journal goes missing and she begins receiving threatening texts. She senses she's being watched and a series of coincidences seem to confirm that she, in fact, may be in danger. Peaks Island is a romantic and humorous love story with a hint of suspense.
