Discover some of the writing tips from Wattpad Star and formerly featured author of 'Trapped'. I have completed my share of beta reads and critiques for new authors on and off Wattpad and many of the points I have noted are often repeats - something that I used to find in my own writing as well, but have stopped (or tried to stop) over the years. It's hard starting out, but it's even harder when no one points out your mistakes. I hope you will find this guide useful to detect some of those problem areas and pick up tips on how to avoid common mistakes. Writing is an art and takes practice. There is no corner cutting - you can only improve if you keep at it. Interested? Well, then let's explore some of the common traps I've seen...

Writing help from an English/Creative Writing major. This is practically a free writing class. It's full of useful writing tips and tricks that I've picked up in my writing career/common mistakes found while editing others' work. I hope you can find use out of this. I add to it every time I think of something else that beginners would find useful. These are in no particular order, so feel free to refer to the Table of Contents to skip to a topic that you're interested in. **I am currently working on rewriting and editing this into a real book, which I'll publish on Amazon** PS: I am rarely ever on Wattpad, so if you message me, I'm very unlikely to answer. I'm not ignoring you; I'm just not on here anymore. Please vote for this so more people will see it and be able to use this! Also, if you have any questions about writing, comment or message me and I'll help. I'll also add chapters at your request. If there's a particular aspect of writing you'd like advice on, I'll post it. It's marked as completed, but I add to it when I think of something else. "YOUR BOOK HELPED ME A LOT!!! THIS IS THE BEST BOOK FOR NEW WRITERS THAT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED ON WATTPAD" -dpe281 "This helps so much!! ^^ thank you thank you thank you!!" -Just_Katyftw "this was so useful thank you!" -Galaxysfaraway "That's so helpful! Thank you! :) " -fandomsmember Best Rating Yet: #2 in non-fiction!

Highest Rank: #1 in Non-Fiction [14.08.16] I'm sure many of us have typed in 'How to get more reads' or 'How to get more votes' into Wattpad's search bar at one point or another and been bombarded with books. However when you read them.. Well they all seem to be the same. There may be a reason for that, those books preach the important points however I am here to maybe give you some tips you've never heard before. I can make no promises to give original ideas, I haven't read every 'How to get more reads..' book on Wattpad. But this is a informative guide on how to finally boost that read count and hopefully become the next big writer on Wattpad!

Lots of tips, advice, and personal opinions await you - including everything thing I've done to promote my own Watty's finalist and winning stories - but only if you turn the page. Reader testimonial by @AyushiPandey-- 'I read your guide for Wattpad success when I first started writing my story last year in August, and now it has been an entire year when I stumbled upon it again. I just have to say, I loved reading it again, it has the best tips one can find (take it from me, I have read many, many guides here). Thank you so much for taking out your time to compile such an amazing book!' Reader testimonial by @suspishfishy-- 'I have to thank you again! As soon as I wrote a book that focused on what I wanted to write, instantly people started to read my books and give me feedback!' **THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO ADVERTISE YOUR STORY. This is where you'll find detailed instructions for the proper places to advertise and find readers. If you ask people to read your story here, your comment will be removed.** Thanks to @EnjxiiBlxck for the cover.
