Vanessa Laine is a college student and aspiring musician. She's got the look and she's got the voice. The only thing that's stopping her is her stage fright...and an opportunity. But opportunity knocks when pop-punk band, The Velocity, holds auditions for a new lead singer at the restaurant that Vanessa works at. Getting in was the easy part. Surviving as the only girl in the band is the hard part. Can she do it?

Music is my life. Simply just that. It's important to me, dear to me. No gut-wrench fool can come between me and my music. And my life has been good. Besides the fact I can't make any friends. It's like a curse that has followed me since birth. When I finally make a friend, I find out that I have "voice of angel" and I have a chance of creating a record deal. I have 2 weeks to except the offer. I want to go, but my three and a half years loyal friend says I should stay or else I'll loose her as a friend (and not because I'm leaving.) I know what your thinking, if she's really your, she would understand how much this means to. After all, music is a part of you. But now our friendship has become a part of me too. What do I do? Loose this chance of music to keep a friend, or keep music and loose a friend. No matter what I pick, I will end up losing a part of me.
