I walk along the sidewalk on Saturday night. I put the hood up on my black hoodie and shove my hands in my pockets. I walk silently, the only noise being my shoes hitting the pavement. I see a figure up ahead standing directly under a streetlight. I continue walking assuming that this person is harmless, and if they aren't, well, they better hope that I don't feel completely merciless tonight.
