He saw the suitcase and that she was shivering, well it was winter at the time. He picked her up bridal style and grabbed her stuff and took her home to warm her up and see if she needed help. That was a start of a wonderful friendship and, maybe, even a lovely relationship! There is cussing in this book and some blood, also some depressing stuff.. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
