How many hours are in a day when you don't spend half of them watching television? When is the last time any of us really worked for something that we wanted? How long had it been since any of us really needed something that we wanted? The world we knew is gone. The world of commerce and frivolous necessity has been replaced by a world of survival and responsibility. An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe causing the dead to rise and feed on the living. Note that I do not own some of the characters in this story! This takes place right after the season 3 finale! Nicole Taylor has always been a tough cookie on the inside and out, but it all changes once the diseased apocalypse occurs. She was taken in as a member of a town known as Woodbury, a heavily guarded place with what seems to be a great leader called the Governor. However, it all changes one day when hostile people living in a prison attack. The Governor takes an army to fight back, for the two groups have declared war. All goes wrong, and the army flees, but the Governor himself turns on his own people, killing them. Nicole and one other woman managed to escape, hiding one of their fallen people over their own bodies, pretending to be dead. The people in the prison find them and take them in as their own. They all make their way to Woodbury, discovering that the Governor had left. They take the rest of the remaining town to the prison, adding them to their group. Will the group survive for long? Or will the Governor take over?

What happens when the apocalypse breaks out and two exes who haven't spoken to each other in years are forced to live and survive together? No one in the group knows that these two were a former item but they have their suspicions. Broken hearts, betrayal, their past is thrown into the mix. What's to come of their relationship? Will they finally give into the feelings that still remain for each other? Will they continue to push each other away because of the things that happened in their past? Is there still love in this broken, crazy world? Follow the lives of Emery Lucas and Daryl Dixon to watch their story unfold.
