I run a romance writing class and community called #romanceclass. In case you were looking for books like mine, I'll recommend these. Some books were not written during a workshop, but if they were written following the #romanceclass guidelines, you can expect: - Complete novels - Happy, satisfying endings - Characters who are NOT "average" - Gender/queer sensitive plots and characters - No sudden death or illness plot twists - If there are love scenes, they are consensual, responsible, and hot. Some books are mine, some are by other authors. Copies of the books can be found/bought from romanceclassbooks.com. Support an author, buy a book. :)

After years of living abroad, 28 year old cake artist Eloisa Carreon is back home and working at Reyna Bakery, where she is expected to carry on the family tradition of creating the best cakes in Manila. But it's a return to drama: Her over-protective brother supervises her every move; her parents worry about her growing independence; and her friends won’t stop setting her up with guys who never turn out as advertised. So when she is asked to design the cake for a big wedding – staged to cover up a couple’s elopement – Eloisa takes on the duties with an understandable dose of cynicism. What starts out as an obligation takes a turn when Eloisa meets her match in Sean Alvarez, the wedding's handsome videographer. The attraction between them is undeniable, but Eloisa's got a dramatic, meddling family and her own emotional baggage to deal with. She must decide if she should take the risk and follow her heart, before she loses her mind. And when better to do it than during the year's biggest wedding?

Being perfect isn't supposed to be this hard. Alex dela Cruz has it all. Looks, money, and a killer sense of style. When the annoyingly gorgeous Adam Cordero calls her selfish, she decides to prove him wrong by transforming Christy Marquez from an invisible misfit into a ruling princess of Asia Pacific Academy. Great hair? Check. Flawless red lipstick? Check. Instant popularity? A slightly too big check. But now, Alex is on the brink of losing the plastic tiara she's supposed to get as prom queen, her best friend, and her heart to the unlikeliest of candidates. Too bad she isn't letting anything-or anyone-get between her and that tiara. This is a young adult novella soon to be released on Amazon.

When Faith's five-year relationship ends right before she leaves for a typhoon-stricken town in Iloilo, she chooses not to make a big deal out of it. She's not a stranger to heartbreak after all - she deals with it every day with her disaster relief work. How can she be broken up about her lost love life when she's surrounded by people who literally lost everything? All she wants now is for her life to go back to normal. Never mind her unanswered questions about the breakup, or that (not so) tiny ache in her heart whenever she sees her ex. She's okay now and maybe she's even starting to like Nico Tamayo, the attractive new guy at work. With new possibilities on the horizon, Faith thinks she is well on her way to moving on. But when her past comes calling back to her, will all the good things in her present be enough to keep her on the path? Or will she finally learn that there's more to heartbreak and recovery than what she knows? CONTENT NOTE: This book is heat level 0 and follows #romanceclass guidelines requiring happily ever after (HEA) / happy for now (HFN) for romance. There is no mention of COVID-19, and the events of this book happened years before lockdown. There is mention of a super typhoon hitting the country and its aftermath. Igo is mesmerized by Yasmin the first time he sees her back in grade school. But that soon changes when she announces in class that her dream is to marry a prince. He wants nothing to do with her thinking she's a dunce but after a mindless remark at her non-existent prince, she becomes a permanent fixture in his life whose main role is to annoy him every chance she gets. Their frequent bantering leads to an unusual friendship growing up and eighteen year-old Igo finds himself inevitably falling for Yasmin. His desire for her becomes clearer and stronger during their spontaneous Pagudpud Escapade where his very own cousin, Zac, threatens to sweep Yas off her feet. He is able to hold his cousin at bay when he invites Yasmin to a financial seminar and they become young entrepreneurs giving him more time to spend with her. But will Igo be ready to admit his feelings knowing he isn't a prince material? Especially if his own cousin, the perfect Zac, who seems to be the type she is looking for confesses to her first? === A #romanceclass2016 output. This is the draft I submitted :) This class ran from March 1 to May 31, 2016.
