"It was the typical American marriage: day after ceaseless day of betrayal, right up to his very last breath." A full-time surgeon and full-time mother, Dr. Casey Kenny's third career is damage control. Casey's days are spent covering her husband's tracks as his constant scandals begin to unravel; but living in the public eye as the wife of a United States senator, Casey knows that an unhappy marriage is just her pill to swallow. Just like Senator Wilson Kenny, Casey has some secrets of her own, but she swears her extramarital affairs are just how she keeps herself sane; that is, until her former intern Hallie Strickland begins to change Casey's ideas about love and commitment, and both Casey and Hallie begin to put themselves on the line to rescue the other from deterioration. Casey finds herself in deeper than she ever anticipated. When Wilson Kenny is assassinated mere days after his affair hits the news, all fingers point to Casey. As always, it's her job to pick up the pieces, but now it's her own past that she needs to cover. Cover art by the wildly talented @JaneDoeSmith1! Trigger warning: discussion of DV/IPV

Jesabel is a liar. When her only friend mysteriously disappears, she does what comes naturally. She keeps her truth from the world. Without warning, she is thrown into a web of lies far more dangerous and lethal than anything she could imagine. With an annoyingly charming boy by her side, can she unravel what she refuses to tell - the truth? WHITE LIES HAS BEEN REVISED, EDITED AND REWORKED! Happy late new year, friends! I'd like to take this opportunity to announce that White Lies, a story that has been up and running on Wattpad since 2011, has been re-written and revised for the coming decade. What does this mean? This entails the same characters you know and love, with better flow, better writing, more nuanced character development, more mature content, and entirely different plot lines. Jesabel's character has changed drastically since I last introduced her to the world (nearly NINE years ago! yikes!), and I wanted to make this story a more nuanced and modern take. When I had written White Lies, I had been just 14 years old. And I've done a ton of growing, learning, and unlearning over the years. This means that my characters have grown and developed with me. If you are an old friend and re-reader - welcome, and please enjoy the same old story you love with a brand new take! If you have started along this White Lies journey beginning in December and all throughout January, you might have read a half-edited and half-original version of the story. So please feel free to re-read at your leisure! I won't bite, I promise.

Defeat Morgwyn was born into the last years of human life on Earth. On her fifth birthday, her parents, along with half the world's population, left Earth for Orbis - a planet in a distant solar system - handing her over to a huge government-run orphanage. By the time she was ten, the orphanage and a group known as the Correctors - the members of the world's government and military who were tasked with repairing the earth - were the only humans left on Earth. At the age of eighteen, Defeat is given a choice: get on the next ship to Orbis, or become the newest recruit of the Correctors. Unwilling to leave her one and only home, she chooses to stay, and is thrust into a military style world where school is about survival skills, self-defence, and what needs to be done to repair the Earth. But Defeat soon starts to realise that there's more to the Correctors than they're letting on, and when disaster strikes, she's faced with an impossible decision: abandon the people she's been trained to help, or embark on a terrifying mission to save them. There's something wrong with Kiran's city. First it was Lower Sector - flickering street lights, the lighted windows going out one by one, like candles blown out by a slow, invisible breeze - and now Middle Society is starting to feel the effects of the Black Wave: the slow but steady darkness sweeping over the city. Kiran is all too aware of the way the street lights are dimming, of the way her bedroom light takes one, two, three tries to turn on. Her sister pretends not to notice it and her mother is content with letting the Black Wave take its course, but Kiran is worried. Already, whispered stories are spreading throughout her school, like an airborne disease that tells a tale of panic, fear and death in Lower Sector. So when she's approached by a mysterious man in black who tells her nothing but an address and a whispered, "fight for the light," her decision is an easy one. Because in Kiran's world, there are only two options: learn to live in the darkness, or fight to bring back the light. © 2015 by shayebay This novel is entirely a work of fiction. When she opens the letter addressed to her, Viv is shocked to discover that her best friend had already suspected her death was imminent and so composed the collection of letters to all the people she considers important in her life - those who she lied to. In each letter, Pandora explains lies she told and the reasons for them and it is Viv's job to make sure they get to the right person. When Viv discovers that the letters could quite possibly be clues as to who murdered her best friend, she can't stop herself from opening a few. It's never been appropriate to open private mail and when Viv becomes a new target for whoever killed Pandora, it's a race against time to see if she can discover who the murderer is without becoming the next victim. The one problem with the letters is how does Viv know if what was said in the letters is actually true or not?
