Rei just wanted to read good stories, and his plan was going well despite the strange tendencies of those around him when on the promise of 'fun' he gets trapped in deep dive virtual reality capsule to act as side character as a part of the mother god's conglomerate. The more stories completed in the conglomerate the more power the mother god gains so that soon the outside world may be effected. The mother god set her monitoring and restrictions on the 'main' people brought into her conglomerate. The system is supposed to use a series of options to classify the character role into the story Rei should choose one of the available choices The story is supposed to follow a particular path The mother god probably should have considered the possibility that even random people sucked into the trap might not follow the plot.
