Siblings, Clara and Sam Callaghan are home alone one Sunday night. Since their parents are gone, it's the easiest time for the people who want to control their mom to take control of the house. They use the kids as leverage and once they have everyone under their control, they use the family against each other. When the surgery for the senator doesn't go as planned, their stay goes from being overnight, to four weeks. Mark, the man that is in charge of keeping them, under control does just that. With only a couple of mishaps, and only one extra person finding out, it goes smoothly for him. For Sam and Clara, it is anything but smooth. They feel like they have to live two separate lives between school and home, having to keep one a secret. Lives depend on it. They have to lie to friends, and they hate it, but they don't want to see anyone hurt. Even though they don't want to see anyone hurt, they have to keep in mind that they don't want to be hurt either. It's hard when almost every aspect of their lives are being controlled and/or monitored. The four weeks that they are under Mark's control, are the hardest and challenge them in ways they never thought they'd be challenged.
