It's my first fanfic, I'm sorry in advance. Basically a high school au where Dan and Phil are in different French classes, and the school has a limited budget, so they have to share textbooks with someone in another class. Surprise (you guessed it) Dan and Phil end up sharing, and Phil leaves himself little notes in the textbook, which Dan finds. You have to read to find out the rest, mofos.

Ever since Dan was a small child, he loved being on the stage singing his heart out. His homophobic and unmusical parents have always been proud of their talented and supposedly straight son. Phil is the antithesis of Dan. His parents, being heavily involved in West End Theatre, disapprove of his passion in photography. Dan and Phil meet through a mutual agreement and explore new territories together.

in a world where your moods are visible above your head, displayed through pictures and icons, it's impossible to hide your true feelings. however dan howell seems to be lacking this. labelled as an emotionless freak, dan is outcasted because his moods are never visible. that is, until an endlessly happy boy named phil wonders why.
