When you are infected with the virus, there are four stages. 1) Your fever will shoot up and everything will become intensified on a maximum level. You'll lose grip on what's reality and what's illusion. 2) You'll start to slowly fall down the rabbit hole, forgetting the past and everything and everyone that you knew. 3) You face your imminent death. 4) You wake up with a pressing hunger for the living. It's been seven months since the pandemic hit with this virus and the world has been ravaged and left to ruins. Society has crumbled to nothing and more than three fourths of the population have been infected with the mysterious virus that took the world by storm. The virus has turned anyone infected into crazed flesh-eating freaks, with decrepit skin and red puffy eyes. The only way to kill them is by obliterating the brain. Elise Alice Gordon, Lease for short, led a simple life until the virus hit. Seven months later she is just barely scraping by. Strange things have been occuring in the Miller house lately. Writing on walls, children's laughter and footsteps throughout the house, doors opening and slamming shut by themselves and even the record player which hasn't worked in years found itself playing strange music. Who or what is haunting the Miller's house? Are they safe? Why is their house the one being haunted? Can they get the spirits out of their house before someone gets hurt?

My name is Addison Jones. I am 15 years old. I had long black hair that went down to my bottom and gray eyes. I was pale as a ghost, at least thats what my mom would always say. I had just moved to a small town in Pennsylvania where I went to my first year of public school. Being taught by my mother at home my entire life, sophomore year was a huge reality check for me. I didn’t really fit in. Most of the girls here were blonde and had lots of friends, and I was…alone. I always was alone. For as long as I could remember, everybody didn't pay much attention to me. I've never had a "friend", and I can't recall the last time anyone other than my mom payed much attention to me.. at all, for the most part. Even my teachers payed me little to no attention. I didn’t like school, but because of my fathers death, my mom could no longer teach me as she had to work. I was only a week into school and everything was normal… until it happened.

During the years of 1971 and 1972, strange things started to happen to a little girl's family and no one could figure out why. Ruby was given a diary to write down her day to day life during this time period, and very odd and frightening things are written and described in it. Short after, she dies of mysterious circumstances and no one can figure out what has happened; if it is a curse or something more sinister. This is Ruby's diary.
