After the evacuation and abandoning of Reach, Spartan 301 is sent on a mission to seek out the source of a distress signal. But is everything as it seems, and is Reach truly abandoned?

This is a short story I wrote recently about a character that has been in my head for a very long time. When I was 16 I started to write a book about a boy named Bill Robinson, who lived on a council estate, was in trouble with the local hooligans, and dreamed of being a soul singer. He also happened to be an alcoholic. I never finished the book, but I did keep it. Lately the story and the characters have been coming into my head a lot, so I decided to write a short story, which could actually stand as a prequel to the novel I have in mind. The novel will more than likely be called 'A Song For Bill Robinson' or something along those lines. I don't have time to write it yet, but it will happen.

This is a very short story, which is basically a rewrite of a scene from my novel The Mess Of Me. The novel is written in the first person from Lou's point of view, whereas this explosive scene shows Leon's point of view. A short story inspired by a true one.

Short story from the point of view of a character I am plotting a novel for. I have not got time to write the novel yet, but as the character keeps bothering me, I am writing the odd short story to keep him quiet!

This short story is about a boy who has run away from home, only to be captured and dragged back again by his abusive step-father. The story is told from both of their view points. This is a short story, and will be one of a collection of short stories called 'Tales From Province 5'. Province 5 is the location for my upcoming YA novel The Tree Of Rebels.
