The Hunchback of Notre-Dame (French: Notre-Dame de Paris, "Our Lady of Paris") is a French Romantic/Gothic novel by Victor Hugo, published in 1831. The original French title refers to Notre Dame Cathedral, on which the story is centered. Frederic Shoberl's 1833 English translation was published as The Hunchback of Notre Dame which became the generally used title in English. But, after bumping into an odd girl who's got her life planned down to the point and is scared of general human interaction, he's drawn in. But, he's in New York. Not only is it the place he's not supposed to be in, but he's starting to fall for the self proclaimed human biologist. This could be his rise, or downfall.
