Tayler has always been the model best friend. She's supportive, attentive, and sometimes too much of a pushover. She's been the supporting character to her own life, always in the shadow of her outgoing best friends, but that was before she met Hunter. Hunter is older, worldly, smart, and not to mention an incredibly good looking soldier. A chance meeting brings them together, but he's the object of Tayler's oldest best friend Jessica's attention. Tayler doesn't want to come between them, but when Hunter shows an interest in her, she decides it can't be too bad to just be friends with him, right? After all, all's fair in love and war.

For a few weeks in February 2014 our village was the centre of media attention. The Thames burst its banks and flowed through the Main Street. Life took on a surreal quality. The media descended on us, the army and the fire brigade pitched in and even the Royal princes paid us a visit. The water came in our house and we had to move out for seven months. We blamed and still blame the flood relief scheme. This is our story.
