History never seems to remember the youngest child, and Daniela Davenport is proof of that. Daniela Davenport lives in the shadow of her own family's brilliance, strength, and speed. While her siblings boast cutting-edge bionics that grant them superhuman abilities, she's left relying on sheer grit and untapped, hidden potential. To carve out her own path, Dani finds popularity at school, but she still hides in the shadows because of her brothers and sister. She craves more for herself, and to do this, she must unravel the thread of her past to try to understand the future. But what if this leads her in a direction she never wanted? What if this leads her deeper in the shadows? Determined to prove her worth, Daniela sets out to forge her own legacy -- but every step closer to greatness forces her to question her moral compass. Will she uphold the ideals her world was built upon, or will she embrace the power that lies hidden in the darkness? As alliances shift and secrets unravel, Daniela must decide what kind of hero -- or villain -- she's destined to become.

Camilla was left behind in the foamy wreckage, scrambling to make sense of the tragedy, scrambling to make sense of her life as it was now. There was one thing that her best friend loved more than anything else in the world: the precious sea turtles found at their favorite beach in Malibu. Camilla realized she had to follow her best friend's footsteps in the sand and help save the sea turtles. She teamed up with a local college student and petitioned the city of Malibu to give them an office and a platform -- and they were given it! After she found her best friend's bucket list, Camilla knew she had to do one thing: complete everything on the bucket list, no matter how hard it was. With the help of her new friends at Malibu Junior Rescue, she knew she could tackle each and every dream and actually live again, just like her best friend would have wanted. And maybe, just maybe she would fall in love with this crazy thing called life -- and even with a cute boy named Tyler -- in the process. Camilla Huang had a borrowed dream. She lived a borrowed life. It was up to her to keep those dreams afloat above the waves. It was up to her to live life for the two of them.

It seemed like that the person giving her very personal gifts understood what was going on in her head. It was like they could see into the darkest depths of her soul. Haven was pleasantly surprised that this person knew so much about her, knew what her heart truly wanted, and she wanted to thank them for the good they were doing to her. But how could she when she had no idea who was doing it? The thing was, Jake Madden was acting strange around her. She didn't think it could be him, but there was a small part of her that wished it was him. Ever since he moved into the house next door, she couldn't help but develop a little crush on him. His darkest desires were coming to the forefront of his mind, allowing death to swallow him up once and for all. However, he had this burning wish to survive this like he had survived everything else that had happened to him up to that point in his life. Would he be able to choose before it was too late?
