River James was dying. He knew that deep in his heart. The delusion he had given himself to make him the best of the best was decaying in his body. It was destroying him from the inside out, and there was only one way to stop it: take the elixir, a safeguard for his final invention, that his father had created before he was killed. He was the luckiest guy in the world because he was the only one who had access to the elixir, to life itself, while the others he infected were destined to crumble away like snow. The thing was, River didn't want to take the elixir. Not yet at least. He wanted to grow weaker and weaker and understand what it feels like to slowly die away, to return to the dust he once was. He wanted to understand what his parents went through when they were killed. Did he want to die, though? He wasn't exactly sure just yet. He didn't have a home to go back to, nor did he have anyone to find. Yet he did not want to let go that easily. Right? Torn between two worlds, River couldn't figure out what he wanted most. His darkest desires were coming to the forefront of his mind, allowing death to swallow him up once and for all. However, he had this burning wish to survive this like he had survived everything else that had happened to him up to that point in his life. Would he be able to choose before it was too late? Or was he going to make the wrong decision and risk losing everything?

TRAITOR Harlow Valesco was the new kid at William B. Travis Prep School, and she didn't expect to be surrounded by so many new friends -- they were her cousin, Tomika's friends, though. Something was off with them and their teacher, Mr. Finn, and Harlow wanted to figure out what it was. When she did, she and her new partner-in-crime, Riley Kwon, were determined to come out on top. What would happen when competition rose between Harlow and those she loved most? SUCKER Harlow Velasco and Riley Kwon were on probation with the band, School of Rock. After the Battle of the Bands bonanza, the two girls were stuck doing the lowly tasks for the band -- getting them coffee, tuning the guitars, and so many other mundane things. Harlow knew she needed to get on their good side to live her dreams, and maybe date the cute guy in the band. So what did she do? Live as a personal assistant to School of Rock or forge her own path in the band? WONDER Harlow Velasco's summer was one of boredom and songwriting, which was the usual way her summers always went. A new school year was upon Travis Prep School, and after the way the last school year went with the Battle of the Bands, entrance into the band, and a semi-failed relationship, Harlow was excited to lay low and write songs. Things went downhill once again when something unexpected happened. How many times would Harlow nearly wreck the band before she learned better? LOVER Harlow Velasco was excited for another summer, and she just wanted to relax after School of Rock revealed their identities at the Austin Music Festival. The past two years were hard for her and the band, showcasing the amount of heartache they went through just to get to the horrible place they were in. When things were looking bleak, an amazing opportunity arose, one that Harlow and the rest of School of Rock couldn't turn down. Would the band come back together in full force, or were they going to break up?

The plan? Kid Danger was going to take Henry Hart's place and attend Swellview High School. The worst part of the plan was that Kid Danger and Charlotte were supposed to fake date to somehow draw out the villain. Charlotte didn't want to go through with this. Being thrust into the limelight was not something she wanted to do. But she had to help Ray. Never in her life had she ever wanted to date Kid Danger, let alone her best friend. As the weeks went on, Charlotte realized that it wasn't different fake dating Kid Danger as it was hanging out with Henry, just with the romance bits sprinkled throughout to keep the people interested. When the line between fake and real got more and more blurred, Charlotte began to wonder if her and Henry were actually meant to be just friends. She was terrified, though, to ruin everything between them. He was her best friend, and she didn't want to lose him. She didn't want to lose what they had together. With tensions running high and an evil scientist running higher, Charlotte had everything to lose.

Bree Davenport was excited for a new life on the Bionic Island. Well, sort of. Her best friend was still on the mainland, and her very own brother basically hated her for conspiring with his enemy. Everywhere she went, Leo reminded her of her own shortcomings, even if Adam and Chase tried to stop their fights. She thought that their little chat with Maggie solved things, but apparently it didn't. Life on the island was not like life back in Mission Creek. She had a group of bionic girls to take care of and teach them the ways of the bionic heroes. She was content with her group, but Bree knew that she wanted more for her life. She didn't want to be a teacher or a bionic hero whose only friends were her brother's girlfriend and her other brother's almost ex-girlfriend. And that's when a strange bionic boy washed up on the shore of the Bionic Island after a terrible storm one night. Bree managed to save this boy and brought him to the infirmary. He made a swift recovery, quickly joining her group and climbing up the ranks at the academy. His name was River James, and he didn't know where he came from. The only thing he knew was his name and that he had some sort of bionics, though he wasn't sure what exactly he had. Bree took it upon herself to show this guy the ropes. As the weeks wore on, Bree and River grew closer, and her own bad feelings about the people closest to her grew, as well. River showed her a world without her family and friends, one where it was alright for Bree to do whatever she wanted, whenever she wanted to. She was finally free from the weight of being a bionic hero, but there was something . . . off about the whole situation. Just when Bree thought things couldn't get any better, they got worse. For as long as she could remember, her world was a little cracked here and there. One little thing made her life shatter around her, and she wasn't sure if she was able to rebuild everything from the ground up.

Leo Dooley had always wanted to be a bionic hero. Ever since he met his stepsiblings and found out that they were bionic heroes, he wanted to join their ranks and save the world from destruction. And when he finally became a bionic hero himself, he pictured himself having all the girls fawn over him. Unfortunately, betrayal and heartbreak and living on an island prevented him from meeting any girls who would want to date him. Besides, who else would he want besides the one he had almost given his heart to before she broke it? Instead of living out his romantic dreams, he settled in as a student at the Davenport Bionic Academy. These new bionic kids were annoying and full of themselves. He didn't ever think he was that bad as a young teenager like them. However, he did have something that would make him happy: the Amateur Sci-Fi Film Festival. He was going to receive his award for the film he made all by himself to prove to his family that he was more than just someone who always wrecked things. He was capable of being a bionic hero just like his siblings. Leo's happiness soon soured at the film festival. Maggie Carver, the girl who broke his heart, showed up, much to his dismay. It seemed like her appearing ruined everything for him, just like she had done a month prior. But forgiveness comes in many forms, and Leo found that out firsthand with both Maggie and Bree. Was forgiveness worth it, though? Or was anger the route for Leo to take?

They took a trip through the local woods when everything went wrong. Payton tripped over a random bell, one that could go in a clock tower at a church. After that, Payton's life turned upside down. Then, he showed her the library where he was taught his magic, and Payton instantly fell in love. She knew magic was real, and this boy proved it to her. The summer before senior year should have been one for the books. It was the last free summer before adulthood and college and so many changes. It was the last free summer to live with the people who helped raise Laura Marano into the woman she was. Everything should have been perfect as she laughed and loved with the people she loved most. But it wasn't. The thing that wasn't perfect was that Laura Marano was hopelessly in love with her best friend. Well, that wasn't the worst thing that could happen to Laura. Ross Lynch and she had been best friends ever since they went to school together. It was almost inevitable for one of them to fall for the other. Laura just thought that both of them would fall in love together, not apart. Especially not with him getting a girlfriend. That was the bad part. Ross Lynch had gotten a girlfriend. A serious girlfriend. One that was oh so nice and wonderful and beautiful. There was no way Laura could ever tell Ross what she was feeling because of this new development. It was better to leave those feelings alone and spend the rest of the summer as a third wheel. However, with the help of her two trusty sidekicks, Rocky and Rydel Lynch, Laura might just end up out of the friendzone with Ross. Maybe, just maybe he will see who really belongs with him and who has been there all along. That was the plan, at least. Until that plan got ruined, too. When things were looking so serious for Ross and his girlfriend, the Universe just had to send someone over to Laura to draw her attention away from the happy couple. His name was Thom Macken. He was different than Ross, but a good different. Maybe something would come out of that relationship, more than hers with Ross. Laura Marano didn't know who to choose, and choices needed to be made right away. Her summer just got a lot wilder.
