What makes me open my eyes is the sound of a few leafs crinkling a few feet away from me. What is that? I suddenly become frightened and turn on my lightsaber frantically looking around. Nobody is there. Its complete silence again. I push the feeling aside and continue walking down the path. I still feel like I'm being watched. I stop again and turn around, but this time I see a black figure approaching me like a predator, his red saber burning into my eyes. I froze in my position, feeling terror running wild in me. Its him.

He smirked, he was quiet aware of the affect he had on her and hoped that in time it would be enough to switch her. They both had a struggle, with both sides pulling on them in two different directions. This fanfiction begins with the snow duel on StarKiller, but with a reylo twist... "If you call me by that name again, I will kill you," he warned her, his voice both silky and shaking through the mask's filter. Rey had the audacity to smirk at him, and she taunted, "You do not care for the sound of your own name." "I do not," he snapped. "Test me again, and it will be the last thing you do." "Your threats do not put fear inside of me." Rey shook her head, looking serene. That only enraged Kylo Ren more, and he pulled his hand up again. She used the Force to lower his hand, and he could scarcely fight through it. He grunted in aggravation and started to threaten her again, but she whispered, "Calm yourself. I'm not here to fight. I'm here to talk." He snorted with derisive laughter. "I have no wish to speak with you." Rey blinked. "Luke Skywalker sent me here to try to sway you back to the Light." "Did he?" Kylo Ren nodded and shrugged, feeling the material of his black tunic constrict uncomfortably around his shoulders. Luke Skywalker wanted to turn him back to the Light? That was rich. Kylo Ren quirked up half his mouth beneath his mask. "How unfortunate for him."

❝He didn't say anything, just stared. A malicious glint came to his eyes. "Rey, I did not think you could be this foolish. I am years older than you, physically and mentally. How could I ever fall for a Jedi? I am stronger that that." This was what he reiterated in his head every day, every second he thought about her. But she was right indeed. He did like her. It seemed like an understatement almost. He needed her. Every second that Rey wasn't with him felt like torture. He couldn't let her know that. He also desperately clung to the darkness. His darkness was what fueled him and what kept him going. He couldn't possibly give that up. The girl was a conundrum. "Liar," Rey whispered. She crossed the distance between them. Now, they were only a few inches apart, separated by the bars of the cell. "You're right," he smiled. Yet again, it didn't reach his eyes. Rey was right. He could barely stand to be someone he wasn't. But his past called for him. "I am a liar. A manipulative beast." He reached out and tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear. "You would do well to stay away." She stepped back. She had felt a jolt of something when he touched her. Like she was being set on fire, but she loved it. "St- Stay away from me," she stuttered. Never in her life had she been terrified of herself this much. He frowned. "You don't like this, little padawan?" ---- Thank you for reading! Any feedback is welcome.

She knew she was tearing him apart with every word. "We could be unstoppable... Rule the galaxy together!" Kylo Ren looked at her with utter pain in his eyes. "Ben, BEN! Why are you doing this?" "I have to" "I see under the sheet of darkness that has fallen upon you, come back before it's too late!" "It already is too late. Goodbye, Rey." Then Rey felt herself fall into a deep, un-peaceful, and dark sleep. Kylo Ren slowly glided away from her unconscious form. A tear, although invisible from the rest of the universe underneath his mask, fell down his cheek. Kylo Ren left the scene of the massacre, where he had just murdered dozens of former fellow Jedi padawans, at the academy his uncle had established. He didn't look back, for he knew that if he did, he would totally break...he would be torn apart. Please note that this story STARTS in the time while Kylo Ren/Ben is at the Jedi Academy and that this story was written directly after The Force Awakens! It does not include ANY of TLJ or TROS canon, please be aware of this as you read. Also I wrote this like 3 or 4 years ago, excuse my grammar mistakes. Yes, I know they're there. No, I will not be fixing them, I'm too lazy for that.
