When Leo Fitzpatrick's psychic grandmother dies, she leaves a letter addressed to him in her will that he receives on his eighteenth birthday. In the letter, she claims that her grandson's life will be saved by someone or something to do with roses. Although he's skeptical, Leo finds himself looking for anyone or anything to do with roses that could be a sign - flower shops, girls named Rose . . . Anything that would point to the person or thing that could eventually protect him from the unknown danger to come. Just when Leo has given up on his search for roses, he meets a girl from a rival high school named Elizabeth "Elle" Hart. Even though she doesn't have any association to roses as far as he can tell, Leo can't help but feel a connection. As the pair struggles through their stressful last year of high school, Leo gets increasingly worried that his grandmother was being truthful after he endures nightmares about roses and death that only worsen with time - if he doesn't find the roses-related person or thing soon, his time could be running out. Adrian Hernandez didn't know he was on the highway to hell until it was too late and he found himself all alone working at a low-key internet cafe (those still existed?). Mainly to get his mind off of the most disastrous in the history of disastrous road trips, but also to kill time as he figured out what the hell to do next. Luckily for him, there was someone by the name of Alexis Blue who lived nearby that was kind of making his situation suck significantly less. Pros and cons, he supposed.

Every love has a story. How you first met. Who said the first word. Even mine does. Seven o'clock is not the time anyone will think of falling in love. But as our worlds collided, we did just that. In a moment lost in space, a single introduction had changed everything. I wonder if things would have been different if the day we met came with a warning. A word to tell you that this was right or this could be wrong in so many ways. I wonder where he is right now. I wonder if he's happy with his life. I wonder if anything would have changed if we did things differently. Placing our hearts on the line and flipping the pages one after the other, our story was written. It happened before we knew it, and there was no way we could have taken it back. That's just how it goes. Every first love has a story. Do you want to hear mine?
