When the outbreak started, where were you? When the world started to cave in on itself, where did you go? When everything was taken from you, what did you become? This is a collection of fifteen short stories that take place in the world of The Dead and the Restless, a novel that I've recently completed. This short story compilation explores the horrors of the world around us, how people can lose themselves and their ties to reality, and how trauma can make or break a person. Several of the characters you will read about have been seen in The Dead and the Restless and some may be of what is to come in the sequel. Either way, you'll go on an adventure where you'll see just how frightening humanity can turn when the lights begin to die.

The world was controlled by cruel humans that they wanted all the energy from vampires and different creatures. When different creatures are captured, the humans took the energy from them with advanced technology a gain the powers for military. They called it Soul Drain. Katelyn, a vampire-asassin was left stranded on human land. She couldn't recall what happened to her before she reached a beach but was given an note. An objective to stop all this madness and hunt down the man behind all this. Aryen, a high school student who's parents had been killed by the military for protesting against using Soul Drain, was left living alone with his younger sister. The only thing he wanted was revenge and to kill the man behind all this. After the death of his parents, he secretly trained under the shadows waiting for the right moment.
