Isabelle hasn't spoken since a tragic accident when she was very little. Refusing to communicate with anyone, she is withdrawn, sad and alone. Bullied at school, Isabelle doesn't know how much more of it she can take. One day an incident turns her entire world upside down for a second time and it completely changes everything.

With her birthday coming up, Violet's life gets confusing, when she goes from living a normal life, of getting bullied every day by her enemy Ella, to when she takes the short cut. Unprepared, Violet has to face the dangers the short cut can throw at her, and find out if she will ever get home to see her friends and family again.
