Nico di Angelo gets adopted by Bruce Wayne after Batman witnesses him stalking around a cemetery in Gotham in the middle of the night. He doesn't want to move in with Bruce, but seeing as he can't supply any proof of his parents or even his own birth records, he doesn't have a good reason to say no. It's Bruce Wayne or the foster system so Nico decides to take his chances with the billionaire. What he didn't anticipate is that he isn't Bruce's only child, or that the man is more than meets the eye. Nico gets dragged into the Batfam and has to learn their secret while trying to hide the mythological world from the greatest family of detectives in the world. No Nico ships. It would get in the way of the plot. I will try to keep at least somewhat accurate with the rest of the books. Everything belongs to Rick Riordan or DCU. Nico and the Avengers Fanfiction: Ultron is at large and has joined forces with the greek monsters and Hephaestus's newest inventions gone wrong. The Avengers need help, but aren't to thrilled with the bitter teen and his doctor that they are forced to work with. Nico di'Angelo didn't care less about the new super hero team until Hades assigns him and Will Solace to fight with them in the impending war. This should be interesting. Nico is the "scary" kid in high school. He is covered in tattoos, has piercings peppering his features, and wears nothing but punk, black clothes. He shows no emotion to anyone but his sister, Hazel, and he has no friends at school- not that he tries to make any. Will solace is popular, happy, and always overly optimistic. He has a million friends. He knows almost everyone is his grade and gets along with nearly everyone he meets. He loves doing volunteer work in the hospital and playing volleyball and basketball. He experiences the "typical high school experience". Until he doesn't. When Will and Nico meet, everything changes for both boys. Nico has had depression for as long as he can remember. After attempting suicide, he finds himself in a Mental Institution. An asylum for people with mental disorders. No matter how much Nico wants to be alone, he quickly finds himself making friends. He becomes friends with a Pyromaniac, some girl with a strange obsession with rocks, a guy who believes he can turn into animals, two other boys who suffer from schizophrenia, one believes he can fly and control lightning, while the other believes they are able to talk to sea creatures, equestrian mammals, and can breath underwater. Nico also becomes acquainted with a blonde girl, who currently volunteers at the mental asylum. Nico also meets a kleptomaniac girl. After a while of being at Half-Blood Mental Institution and Asylum, a new patient arrives. They don't seem to have anything wrong with him, but everyone here has their secrets. So what's his? WARNING: VERY TRIGGERING STORY!! Rated M for self harm, suicide, eating disorders, swearing, abuse, homophobia, etc.

Nico di Angelo was one of /those/ kids. The kind with no friends. The kind that no one likes. The kind that is beaten every single school day but no one bothers to help. It's not like it was a new thing. It all started when he was only eight, his mom died in a car crash. His sister died two years later when a car hit her while she was riding her bike to the park. Everyone blamed Nico for their deaths expect for his step-sister and his absent father. He even blamed himself for the deaths.
