I'm a CBBF bikini model, mother of two, wife, full-time communications professional and only 28! There isn't a single day that goes by where I don't write. And there shouldn't be, if writing is not only your passion and hobby, but who you are. Here are my thoughts on writing. My process and tips and tricks on how to improve your own. The day to day struggles I endure in the life of pursuing representation and publication. I started writing at the age of twelve. But I didn't begin to take it seriously until much, much later. Since that point, my writing has evolved and grown and truly begun to take shape. I wish I knew back then what I know now, and my sincere hope is that my experiences can benefit someone who was once in my shoes.

A few writing lessons I picked up here and there by reading, talking to other authors, often learning the hard way (by embarrassing myself) and occasionally advice from professionals. Everything here is presented as-is and is subject to change with no notice--or whenever I realize how silly something I said was. A lot of this is simply reminders to myself of things to remember and/or look out for.

I automatically leave a story when it starts out, “i wuz 10 wen i fell in LOVEEE.” It literally burns my eyes to read something like that, so one time I asked a person why they would write like that and their answer was, “I’d rather get my story out there quickly and keep my fans interested than waste my time proofreading.” You know what that tells me? That if you don’t have the time to simply spell out the whole word “when,” you probably don’t have the time to write a decent story with an intriguing plot and developed characters; if you don’t have those, you’ll lose you fans anyway. Now, I know a lot of people really don’t know how to write so, I’ve made this guide to help out. I’ll be posting chapters on character and plot development, emotion/tone, setting, clichés, and whatever the heck else I can think of, but right now I’ll start with grammar and spelling.

Books written by 11 year olds tend to be bad, but this one failed spectacularly. The writing itself was amazing, but everything else that could go wrong with it - plot holes, bad characterisation, random implementation of characters from other fandoms, Mary Sues - DID go wrong. So here you have it - Khione's Revenge in its pure and original form, written from 2012-2014, with a couple of tips on how to write - or more specifically, how NOT to write - fanfiction. [originally a copyrighted percy jackson fanfiction by @Atlantari in 2012 with help from @Visceral and @hopelesslyinept] [this book was co-written by @Atlantari and @hopelesslyinept - mostly @Atlantari though]
