"The voices." He simply said. "Voices? In your head?" I asked remembering he's schizophrenic. "Yeah. They tear me down, they rip me apart. They've hurt me more than any human. They told me that everyone will eventually let me down. No one's worth it." "That's not true." I said putting my hand on my shoulder. "Yes it is." He said turning to face me. "Everyone leaves. Everyone betrays. It's what humans do." "I won't do that." I said. "You can count on me. We can be friends. We can be really close, amazing friends!" "You're a liar!" He said looking at me with disgust. "Dude, I'm not. You barely know me! Can you give me a chance?" "Chance." He mummbled softly. "A chance?" "Yes. Just one." "Okay." He said. "I'm sorry, it got the best of me." "It's okay. Everything's fine." I said, my hand still on his shoulder. He looked down at my hand, then to my eyes. His eyes were dark and full of mystery. I couldn't read them, he just looked lost. Lost in the sky, with billions of stars. I could see the stars in his eyes. One night, instead of an inspiring text, Nora accidentally sent him a rant. And what do you know? Arch finally texted back. "Every good girl wants a bad boy who is good only for her." "Every bad boy wants a good girl who is bad only for him." "Whenever you are looking for love don't look too far he might be right next door." Bad boy extraordinaire, he's arrogant, rude, undeniably gorgeous and shares a past with Clara that she wants to do nothing more than to forget. "I've sat behind you my entire life." I mumbled, trying my best to hide my irritation. "Cool, Sally. So can I have a towel or not?" I'd known Jai Darling my entire life and he still couldn't get my name right. **** "The Darlings have lived next door my whole life. They kept a low profile, never leaving the house. None of them except their three boys, the boys that would soon ruin my entire life." Sienna Hall never questioned her rude neighbors next door. They had always just been in the background. That was until Sienna saw a stranger walk into the house as if it were his own. And she does the stupidest thing possible. She follows him. She couldn't have ever imagined what she would find behind the closed doors. Or who and what the Darling Boys really are.
